We May be Wrong, Sometime!

Who doesn't think that he has done his best to make his own world a better place to live in? Who doesn't assume that he is always at the receiving end? Who's not convinced that its not him but someone else who's responsible for making his life miserable?

And who doesn't highlight that he is always right. and others are wrong? It happens with most of us, because we fail to recognize our own shortcomings.

Avoid Social Comparison to Live A Better Life

Being an avid reader of books and blogs by eminent authors, a budding writer myself, and a lover of human psychology, the most important lesson I have learned in life is:

"The negative impact of the social comparison of our current state of affairs in different domains of life -- Self, Children etc, brings the demon out of sleeve and makes us feel inferior to others.

Education: Your Children's Future!

My question to best financial minds from ever rising Indian middle class parents with tons of cash flowing in to their pockets post liberalization era: Have you ever calculated how much money you have invested to ensure a luxurious present and a secured future for self against your children's education up until they finish class XII ?

Come on, I know you haven't!

Why We Must Fail to Quit!

Written a year and half ago, while negotiating through destiny's torture!

Despite being a failure, practically, in every domain of life, I still feel there is an element of hope that I must hang onto. Why I think so; why don't I give up; why don't I accept the defeat and let life move peacefully out of my control -- is a puzzle, that I'm still trying to work out.

I never thought twice before helping others; I never let self-interest takes precedence over that of those I love and care for; I never tried to live and prosper at the cost of others' happiness.

Fail Miserably to Achieve Great Success!

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly." ~ Robert F. Kennedy

History doesn't remember the losers, even if they had put in their best efforts to reach other side of the river but couldn't. Because humans always recognize and appreciate the smell of success, not that of failure!

It doesn't matter what's your background, or education, or how you struggled through the mightiest obstacles in life, but what you have achieved so far. You're recognized and remembered for your success or achievement, whatever you may call it as, but never for your failure.

Relationship: Don't Just Cut It Off, Unless Forced To!

'Wrong number!' A SMS on my mobile's screen was blinking at me . It was a reply to a few SMSs I had sent to the owner MD of a large company - an hour before - in order to find out why he was not responding to me for last couple of days.

To rule out the possibility of any communication issue, I called up his secretary who reconfirmed the number as valid. So, the SMS was as real as its content, telling me bluntly," Abhijit, you are now completely cut-off from a decade old business relationship." A relationship, that begun when he was not so big and I was not so small.

Never Fall in Love with Addictive Depression!

Falling in love with the negativity of life is perhaps one of the easiest form of addictive depression. It doesn't cost you a dime; it doesn't require a dedicated follow up; it doesn't require an extra effort. What it requires is an unconditional submission to the habit of always looking for negative sides of every development in life.

Stop Knocking at the Wrong Doors

It is better to close a few extra doors - I mean options - in life, and in time: Claims the finding of a scientific investigation. A write up, detailing out the observation, was forwarded to me by a friend today morning, reminding me about my own experience in that regard.

She's My Best Friend!

She is my best friend!

Because, she would always listen to me without interruption, letting me share everything that I couldn't with anyone else.

Because, she is always available whenever I need her, keeping her doors open even at the odd hours of night.

Because, she keeps inspiring me through her stunningly beautiful act of silence, never allowing me to succumb to my pains and agonies as long as I'm with her.

Never Forget Them!

I know a mother - a strong personality, both as a parent and also as a social worker - who gave up a flourishing political career, because, an astrologer, on whom she had tremendous faith, told her that she would make it to the top in politics but at the cost of her children.

She didn't hesitate for a moment to quit politics and focus on her children's future!

Never Quit, Keep Fighting!

Who doesn't have a dream unfulfilled? Who doesn't live a life which is incomplete? Who doesn't feel like quitting it sooner or later?

Most of us do that, because it's most convenient.

Are you one of those quitters?

Never Fail to Provide Emotional Support!

We humans are social animals and we can't survive without getting support from each other. That's what society is all about, more so a civilized society.

Support could be in various forms, but there are two primary support systems that determine the degree of meaningful survival of an individual: Economical and Emotional.

Sparkling Dawn of Stupendous Success ‪

While negotiating through the torrential rains of devastating failure,

Watching your relationships falling apart with a few drops of tears kissing your cheeks,

Have the courage and determination to keep cool and remain focused on,

Reaching your destination through mother of all obstacles come what may.

Remember: Beyond the dark night of helplessness, waiting for you, rises a sparkling dawn of stupendous success ‪

A Question, With No Answer!

I have lost something, negotiating through the crowd; I don't know what I have lost, do you know?

I have surrendered something, surfing through destiny's torture, I don't know what I have surrendered, do you know?

I have begged something, never receiving the same, I don't know why I begged so much, do you know?

I have done everything, to get your love; I don't know why I failed miserably, do you know?

In Search of Truth!

We are not necessarily meant to be, what we are today. But, if we are not meant to be what we are today, like or not, be assured, that success will always elude us.

What we are meant to be, however, is defined by our genetics and first 5 years of up-bringing; most of us, unfortunately, never realize this fact and end up doing what we are not supposed to do and blame destiny for our failure.

Well, I'm still searching for this truth: What I'm good at. You too do some introspection and come to a conclusion!

See A Dream, And Work Hard to Make It A Reality

What Martin Luther King Jr. had said: "I have a dream," is what you too must tell yourself. Because, Unless you have a dream of making it big in life, you can never make it a reality.

A dream of making it happen in life is what most of us experience in dream, either during sleep or while being awake in exceptional cases, but we never work on that dream to make it a reality.

I shall Write, Again!

I have been re-posting old articles for more than a year by now, because I don't write anymore. Having written more than than 300 articles in last 4 years, I, fortunately, have a huge database to bank upon.

No, it's not that I would never write again, but, it's a matter of a few more months before I take a deep plunge into doing what I like most: Self-expression in black-and-white!

And, this time, I shall explore the length and breadth of my identity to deliver what matters most - and make sense as well - to my readers.

Kindly bear with me, for a month and half!

Are You Designed to be A Leader?

Designed to kill: Some are but not all, is what we observe in animal kingdom, and I’m sure, we too are basically animals in one way or the other -- courtesy, evolution!

So, can we apply the same principle to one of the most controversial issues that has been haunting us for a long time: Are leaders born, or made?

If you have worked with large Corporates for few years, mingling with a wide range of profiles, or you’re into a profession that demands meeting tens of senior level employees on daily basis, I’m sure, it wouldn't take more than a few minutes of genuine analysis to come to the conclusion: Leadership is not everybody’s cup of tea.

Life is Like A Chameleon, that Keeps Changing Colors!

When life teaches a true lesson, it does so in a ruthless fashion!

Someone I know, an arrogant person, in a stable job, with enough money to secure even a 100 years of life, had the principle of neither extending monetary help to others in need, nor taking any such help from anyone, because he thought that he had more than enough savings.

Mothers Lay the Foundation Blocks of Our Life

Success or failure in life is predominantly determined by a set of values and abilities that come from the right up-bringing, apart from inheriting a few useful genetic links.

And who else, other than the mother, imparts those values?

Destiny's Torture: 5 Deadly Mistakes You Must Avoid in Life!

He was a hugely successful professional who had built up a company from scratch and was running it efficiently for several years. Everything was picture perfect. With good growth bringing in lots of money, he was enjoying life like never before.

Then, suddenly, business started shrinking and, over a period of one year, he lost everything that he had earned and invested till that time. It happened, when the great recession of 2008 swallowed uncountable small businesses all over the world.

Cash flow came to a grinding halt, obviously destroying the business set up that he had established with so much love and care, and, finally, one fine morning, he found himself in a debt trap amounting to several millions rupess with no source of income.

Take Charge of Your Life

Self-confidence is the key to meaningful survival and achieving astonishing success in life! #AK

Stop consoling your-self that you had tried your best but couldn't make it happen, because your destiny never allowed you to do so.

Having embraced failure, and several times, the only lesson that I have learned is: none, but we, ourselves, spoil our chances of making it happen in life.

You assume that you are putting in your best efforts, but you never do it in the right direction; you pretend that you are leaving no stone unturned to make it happen, but you keep choosing the wrong stones all the time.

Hold It, Don't Just Give Up!

To experience a tough time in life is nothing unusual for most of us. But, when it prolongs beyond normal human tolerance level, the damage it causes to self-esteem makes one extremely vulnerable and even a small issue appears enormously large.

4 Important Lessons to Learn from the Deadly Predators

Predators, statistically, succeed only once out of every 20 hardworking hunting attempts at killing their prey. That's what I have learned from a program on Animal Planet TV channel the other day.

Those animals, winning over the pains and agonies of so many futile attempts, never get tired until making it happen.

Well, for them, it's a matter of survival and they have to succeed to remain alive. For us, mediocrity ensures stability and the road to extra-ordinary success is full of risks and uncertainties.

So, we prefer not take risks and remain ordinary!

Career Mistake, You Must Avoid!

A couple of days ago, one of the candidates, who was offered a special package by one of my MNC clients, backed out at the last moment.

That's fine. If you have managed to get a better offer, there is nothing wrong in going ahead with the same. It's your career and you have every right to pick up the best option.
