Glittering Hope!

I was sipping tea, lost in thoughts, standing in front of a tea-stall near PVR Priya Complex in South Delhi.

"Babuji, bhuk lagi hein, kuch khilao na." I turned back to locate the origin of the sweet voice and saw a girl aged around 7 years and a boy not more than 5 staring at me.

I said, "kya Khaoge?" "Samosa." Replied the girl, and presumably her younger brother endorsed the same through gesture.

I immediately asked the Tea-shop owner to give them 2 Samosas and paid him Rs 20 for the same. When they started eating, I said good bye to them and moved towards my vehicle parked near by.

Suddenly, the boy came running to me and asked, "Babuji, kaal ayoge?" For a moment I didn't realise the relevance of that question, but then I understood.

Returning to the Shop, I paid another Rs 20 in advance for giving them 2 Samosas  tomorrow as well.

Mere Rs 40 and what a difference it made to them, and I had bought books worth 1950 just a while ago.

While moving away, I managed to have a glimpses of their glittering eyes that would inspire me forever for living a life full of hopes and never give up come what may!
