How Do I Overrule My Belief System?

Sometime, for taking a step forward, we have to take a step backward. Difficult, no doubt, it is, because our belief system doesn't allow it happen intentionally.

However, if the situation demands, we must accept reality and rule over the commands from our belief system and go ahead with the decision.

Have You Seen Anyone Rising from the Ashes?

You are tired. Very natural. Life is a long journey towards an inevitable destination: Death. Some do call it the beginning of another journey, but who knows what lies after that?

Most us have some purpose of living, but a few don’t — apparently. Do they give up and surrender to destiny? Many a do, but a few challenge the destiny and successfully change the course of life events!

One of them, I know!

Put Your Mobile on Silence Mode, Don't Just Disconnect Incoming Calls

I was sitting with a senior person from corporate India and discussing an important issue. Suddenly his mobile phone started ringing. He picked it up to see who's calling and immediately disconnected it.

Nothing special about this incident as it keeps happening with most of us; however, looking at it differently, it could be a demotivating experience for the person who'd called up.

Because, disconnecting a call means you're actually rejecting the caller. You may assume that he would understand why you couldn't pick it up: busy in a meeting etc.

What is Success All About?

Success is not about just being modest and decent, but about being fierce in carrying out your own agenda against mother of all obstacles.

Success is not about just believing in highly inspirational quotes from eminent personalities, but about fighting your own out and pursuing them with no mercy.

Selfless Commitment Brings Ultimate Achievement

The world say, she's a failure: Looking back at her life from every practical angle. Does it mean that she can't inspire others to be successful?

Failure is the pillar of success, they say, and she too believed in it. But, does it mean that she would have to prove it only with her own life developments?

No, I don't think so.

Is Equal Treatment, So difficult?

She hit my car in the parking lot and, without bothering to look behind, sped away with a clean conscience. When my driver informed her husband, who was at home, instead of offering an apology he started abusing him with filthy language.

This happened at around 7-30 in the morning and, being a late riser, I was not aware of this development until my wife, who was already on her way to the office, called me and explained. The very next moment I got a call from my driver, saying that hitter's husband had come to inspect the extent of damage.

You, Not Destiny, Decide Your Future!

Got the best quality raw material from the market; meticulously planned and procured every relevant ingredient; put in your best efforts to prepare a recipe that would make your near and dear ones relish like never before; but then you added too much of salt into it.

Result: .....You feel devastated; you feel betrayed; you curse destiny for making a mockery of you; you feel like never felt before.

Reject Fading into Oblivion.

Ruthless is global business community, where more than anything what really matters is your size or reputation of operation. Don't misunderstand me; by size I don't mean the volume/capability of your most performing organ but your spread in the professional world in terms of reputation or revenue.

If you fail to grow in both the fronts, you can surely expect your connections deserting you in favor of equals. You can safely assume that none of your business partners would remember what you had done for them in the past, but what are you perceived to be capable of delivering at this moment.

The Tale of An Unfortunate Child!

I almost cried. No, I actually cried: Listening to the conversation between my wife and her 12 years old nephew -- her sister's only son.

Accidentally deprived of oxygen flow, for a few minutes during his birth, he was born with a brain malfunction that severely affected his motor movement -- making him slightly limp during walk.

Simply speaking, despite having no physical deformity he is unable to stand erect and walk normally, because a part of his brain that controls his nervous system pertaining to leg movement got permanently damaged.

How to Find Out: Are You Accepted or Rejected?

How important are you to the people in your area of influence is what governs your popularity index amongst them. And there are a few ways to judge whether someone likes you or not - the first step towards being important to him or otherwise - and the most result-oriented one in my opinion is to correctly analyze one's body language.

Recently one of my meetings with a senior professionals from corporate India went pretty well, and through-out the discussion I remained confident of cementing a business relationship with him -- until I analyzed the way he saw me off after the meeting was over: A casual and hurried good bye substantiated by a negative body expression.
