A Tiring but Rewarding Day



It was a tiring but rewarding day with lots of learning from a senior person from corporate India, who seems to be truly fascinated by the virtues of Bhagavat Gita - Hindu scripture produced from the colloquy given by Sri Krishna to Arjuna during the Kurukshetra War -  and went on interpreting its messages in terms of the art of living and modern management practices as well.

Success: Be Unconventional



I sent him a sms, briefly mentioning about my company and how useful our association could be, if he gives me an oportunity to join hands.

He is the managing director of a 550 million dollar company and, by no rule, I could have expected a reply.

But something unexpected happened: I received a sms from him in the evening asking me to get in touch with his HR director.

I just read an article by Leo Babuita of 'Zen Habits' fame explaining how we fail to effectively utilize the time.

We wish to do many things but keep postponing them indefinitely just because of the assumption that we don't have enough time.

Actually, it's not that we don't have time but -- an effective time-management system!

Shifting office is no less exciting than relocating to a new house. A new environment, new neighbours and a new hope for a better future.

Yes, that's what I'm going through now: Shifting office to a better place with higher capacity. Because, business is growing for the first time in last 2/3 years and I need more people to handle that additional work-load.
