Mothers Lay the Foundation Blocks of Our Life

Success or failure in life is predominantly determined by a set of values and abilities that come from the right up-bringing, apart from inheriting a few useful genetic links.

And who else, other than the mother, imparts those values?

I don't intend to say that children without a mother - who lost them before entering adulthood - would never reach the heights of success, but talking in general.

My mother, who lost her own mother at the age of nine, was never taught the responsibility of an ideal parent. However, she went much ahead of the crowd and taught her children everything that would make them successful in life.

She made us successful in life, not only as a tiger mother but also as a great source of inspiration and emotional support whenever we needed them most. No doubt, she was the toughest to break as far as discipline is concerned but also the most endearing mother one can ever think of.

I agree, she is/was not unique -- but represents those thousands of tiger mothers who are now proud parents of their successful children. They could achieve it by striking a balance between being permissive and equally demanding according to the situation.

Mothers may be tough, mothers may be soft, but never under any circumstances they would ever endanger the future of their children -- except when they are too selfish, in rarest of the rare case!!!
