How to Land Your Dream Job: Befriend the Best Recruiters!


Quite often the job seekers ask me about successfully creating a job information network.

They are keen to develop some professional relationships that would keep them informed about the availability of latest relevant opportunities in the market much ahead of others.

It makes sense, because most of the performing and growing companies don't take much time to freeze a senior level vacancy and the relevant candidates who approach first always sieze the opportunity.

Now the million dollar question is: how to get the information ahead of others!

One of the most result oriented approach, in my opinion, is to befriend some of the best recruiters from your domain of operation.

You may ask: how to befriend them?

Well, the answer is very simple: develop and maintain a strong mutually beneficial relationship in terms of helping the recruiters out of the way to find out relevant candidates for their critical positions.

Keep sharing information about the performers from your domain of operation!

When you help recruiters to close their 'on-fire'  positions, in return, they will help you to get access to relevant opportunities much before others do. And remember, those opportunities need not necessarily be their own but what other recruiters are handing.

Good recruiters are always aware of a lot of floating positions in the maket that they themselves may not be handling. So, if you help them in terms of identifying their target candidates, they will obviously help you to get the information you need to land your dream job.
