Never Forget Them!

I know a mother - a strong personality, both as a parent and also as a social worker - who gave up a flourishing political career, because, an astrologer, on whom she had tremendous faith, told her that she would make it to the top in politics but at the cost of her children.

She didn't hesitate for a moment to quit politics and focus on her children's future!

I know a brother, a lively personality, who, taking over the role of his ailing father, looked after his younger brothers at the cost of his bright future up until they settled down in life.

All of us must have come across some people like them: Who didn't bother to sacrifice their own dream of making it happen in life, because their call for duty or depth of emotional attachments with near and dear ones prevailed over their own needs and benefits.

Those were noticeable contributions. So we know about them. However, there could be many more: A father accumulating wealth for his son's higher education, at the cost of his own dream of living a decent life; a duty, if not discharged, wouldn't have degraded his role as a father as such, still....

Do we notice those small but important sacrifices our own make - and acknowledge the same -- to helping us build our future, pushing us living beyond the realm of ordinary-ship?

Even if we notice, do we remember?

Rarely!

Because, we consider those sacrifices a part of their duty: What, many others, in similar situations, wouldn't have bothered to discharge at all.

But, they did!

Well, It's not too late; it's never too late!

Scan through your past and find out: Who did what for you to place you where you are now, and acknowledge their act of selflessness!

Let them know, that you do remember their sacrifice; let them know, that you haven't forgotten those extra-care; let them know, that you'd always be ready to reciprocate even it it doesn't matter to them.

Never forget those angels, who irrigated your life with their own blood, so that you can live a blood-full life.

A small gesture by you will make them happy, and you will feel better.
