It happens with one in a million: A deadly combination of two of the mightiest psychological disorders, Narcissism and Schizophrenia, that struck one of my close friends wife 20 years ago paralyzing her emotional state of affairs thereafter and her married life too.
My friend, revolting against a huge pressure from her forcing him to cut-off connections with all his relatives - worst demonstration of this disorder - including his parents, decided to put an end to this madness.
However, what happened next, is perhaps something that you may neither realize nor understand, unless, you, yourself experience it.
The Psychiatrist, who was treating his wife and diagnosed the disease, called my friend for a meeting and clearly spelt out that in such situation there were only two alternatives.
And you know, what were the choices: Either embrace his wife and their six month old son, or the rest of his world.
It took him not more than a couple of seconds - painfully though - to decide who needed him most at that moment: His tiny son!
What followed next, for a decade and a half, is an epic saga of selflessness and sacrifice that never got any recognition from anyone. However, I've decided to pen it - a book, may be - and let the world know and decide: Was he right, or wrong?
