Why You Must Have A Balanced Self-esteem!

One of the research findings I read today, highlighted the importance of maintaining a reasonably high self-esteem for unbiased assessment of people and situation.

Scientists, through an interesting study, claim to have proved that when we feel bad about ourselves we are unlikely to arrive at unbiased decisions.

This is an interesting development in view of our ever increasing exposure to the external world, predominantly through social media interactions.

If you carefully go through the discussions on any social media platform, you'd notice that some of the participants leave no stone unturned to prove their points with great efforts, where as a few would immediately withdraw without showing much interest to justify their own views, and the remaining wouldn't hesitate to put forward counter arguments until reaching a saturation points.

I think first category describes people with very low self-esteem, second category represents people with damagingly high self-esteem, and third category indicates people with balanced self-esteem.

In my opinion, neither high nor low but a balanced self-esteem is what makes the relationships work positively: Real or virtual, I mean, both in our physical world as well as digital.

So, if for some reasons you feel bad about yourself, please look back down the memory lane and remember a few achievements -- all of us would surely have a few.

I'm sure, you will feel better and regain control over your neural mechanism.

And, this will help you to act unbiased while assessing either a situation or people.
