7 'Great Leadership' Symptoms!

Everybody, consciously or subconsciously, aspires to be a leader: In professional life, or in personal life, and more often than not -- in both.

However, very few would work it out with a systematic approach to attaining that most desirable position.

Some of us are having a few inborn leadership qualities, but do nothing to take them further; some despite lacking in genetic advantage, acquire a few through hard-work; and a very few have both, and ultimately prove themselves as Great Leaders.

Because they, who're hugely successful leaders, become so by sharpening their original skills through acquiring right knowledge and staying focused on their objectives.

During my 28 years of eventful career in diversified industries and having worked with different types of leaders, a few net-result-oriented behavioral traits that I have noticed in highly successful leaders are:

1. Perfectly balance between logical input and emotion output.

2. Never break-away from any relationship: Personal or professional, on their own.

3. Tough at the core but soft on the surface.

4. Establish emotional connectivity with people at all levels.

5. Never keep an impenetrable distance between professional and personal life.

6. Motivate people through highly inspiring speech and positive body language as well.

7. Always available to people within the area of influence for extending any kind of support.

Apart from them there are many qualities that definitely add values to making of a great leader, but theses, in my opinion, influence the growth-path to a great extent, since the ultimate achievement in leadership lies in building a team of dedicated knowledge workers at all levels within one's own area of influence.

So take an hour out of your busy schedule, do an introspection and find out which of these behavioral patterns are missing in you, and try to improve upon.

The day you master all of them, trust me, none can stop you from becoming a great leader.
